OFG Opinion: 'Cause they're just people

Something new on OFG for the new year, I'll take a topic floating around the Oasisy world and give some views on it. Please feel free to voice yours as well in the comment section.

A few years back, after meeting Liam, and the rest of Oasis outside a big arena in Vancouver, I started to shake uncontrollably  and shed a few tears. A rather insensitive security guard at the time scoffed at me and said  something to the effect "You know they're just people". I ignored him to bask in the glory of my meeting my life for the past 15 years. 

A few years later I was sat directly behind a Gallagher son at a Beady Eye gig ( along with wives and other relatives) and the insensitive security guard's point finally hit home. Through out the whole gig Liam stared directly in my direction, but he wasn't looking at me, it was his son in front on me.  Liam smiled and waved and a tried hard to cheer up his shy son. It was so sweet and yet made me feel so uncomfortable, like I shouldn't have been there. This was just a father having a moment with his son, a family moment, a private one.  

I write this because recently I have been seeing  on random Facebook oasis feeds, photos that look like family shots,  one was a family photo, the other was of Gallagher kids, one was  obviously a paparazzi shot of Noel trying to eat soup! These photos disturb me greatly, we love Noel, Liam, Gem, Andy and Chris for their music, good looks, stylish dress and all around personalities .  Their kids didn't sign up for this, maybe their wives did, but it is imperative Oasis, Beady Eye and NG fans show  respect for their privacy.  Don't support kid photos or even paparazzi photos,  'Cause man , their just people....:)

Crafty Oasis: Live Forever Art

This week I made some easy Oasis art. 

Supplies:
White Card stock
Fabric
Frame with Matte
Scissor
Glue stick 

Steps:
1. First off pick a song, lyric, whatever you like. Make it simple because if your do not have one of these machines, you will be hand cutting it out.

2.  Pick a simple font (I used "Impact")  and type it out in Word,  and change the font color to the lightest gray possible.

3. Print out the words on card stock and get to work cutting those buggers out! 

4. Cut out a piece of fabric that will cover inside of the matte and tape the fabric into the back of the matte. 

5. Turn the back to the front  and carefully glue on the letters.

6. Frame and hang! Enjoy!
